But more importantly, it's the first release that makes Android truly compelling for a broad consumer audience. Froyo's updates aren't that radical, but serious under-the-hood improvements and refinements throughout make it tangibly more pleasing to use.

Need for Speed

Without getting overly technical, Android executes its apps in a layer above its core Linux OS in a virtual machine called Dalvik. One of the major under-the-hood changes in 2.2 is a just-in-time compiler for Dalvik, which—here come the chocolate sprinkles—results in a 2x–5x performance boost for CPU-heavy code. That means faster apps—faster everything. (Google demoed it last week with the game Replica Island, which kept a higher framerate while doing more stuff in 2.2 compared to its performance on Android 2.1)
In everyday use, the new compiler combined with Android's efficient memory management means that pretty much everything you do, in both the general OS as well as apps, feels more responsive. The speed increase itself isn't staggering in and of itself, but the subconscious effects of a smoother, less draggy experience are real. The slowdowns and stutters I've come to just expect from Android (even with beefier processors) are mostly gone. And after a year-and-a-half of dealing with them, it's kind of remarkable to no longer rage at Android's persistent lagging.

According to Google, this speed boost incongruously comes with slightly better battery life. But any power improvements haven't been dramatic enough for us to notice during tests on the Nexus One.

The other place you'll subtly notice things are faster is web browsing. Again, Google's promising 2x faster JavaScript rendering speeds thanks to the new V8 engine, and this is actually a pretty solid estimate.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 130px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1VU9boR7UKE/TR_v3q1gGJI/AAAAAAAAAP4/w-KZuqKXDHU/s200/500x_nexus_one_rendering_speed_chart__revised_.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557424204869015698" />
compared a Nexus One with 2.1 to one running 2.2 (both on Wi-Fi). Here's what I saw on a handful of sites, some with Flash set to "on demand" (that's essentially "off"); some with with Flash turned on completely. Plus we threw the Flash-less iPad in for comparison. As you can see, the boosts are non-trivial—extra speed that adds up to a far happier browsing experience.
The biggest feature in the browser is that it now supports Adobe Flash, an optional download from the Android Market. That might be more blessing than curse. If you leave Flash turned on, the purpose it will most often serve is to render Flash ads. Fortunately, you have the option to make plugins for the Android browser available "on demand," so it works more like ClicktoFlash—you click when you want a piece of Flash to render. The version of Flash available now is "pre-beta" so it doesn't have common desktop features like hardware acceleration for h.264 video. It's also not exactly perfect at rendering stuff, as you can see comparing this Flash-based infographic on the phone versus desktop, which limits its utility, as least given the way I browse on a phone. (I'm not a Farmville player, and Hulu blocks Android 2.2.)
It's the Little Things

The speed boost in 2.2 is fantastic, but what makes Froyo a truly great update is that it tightens bolts all across the entire platform. Android has evolved into a real product, on a totally different level than its first year.

One of Android's major shortcomings has been its interface, which has varied from wildly inconsistent to simply confusing. The UI is largely the same—it's still more complex and less elegant than either the iPhone or Palm's webOS—but it's striking how much nicer it feels thanks to even a few tweaks.
• The messages app—for SMS and MMS—and Google Talk now share a mostly unified interface with the Gmail app: black-text-on-purpleish background, moving away from the incongruous white-text-on-black.

• Inside of Gmail, you can now quickly switch between accounts by tapping the name of the account in the top right hand corner.

• When you plug the phone into your computer and turn on USB storage, a fancy Android graphic now tells you what's up, with clear instructions about mounting and unmounting your phone.

• The camera app's controls are markedly improved, putting all of the settings like white balance and flash mode right up front, rather than sticking them behind a finicky slider that didn't work half the time.

• Usefully and enjoyable—and with maybe just a little poking at Apple—galleries now have a pinch-to-peek gesture, so that you can see what photos are inside of a gallery before you open it.

Perhaps my favorite tweaks are on the home screen.

• Since smartphones have been shedding buttons like promise rings on prom night, a new center widget on the home screen puts the dialer, app menu and browser permanently at your fingertips.

• Pressing and holding the central apps button brings up thumbnail previews of every screen on your desktop. Update: Originally, these preview tabs popped up only when you pressed and held the left/right desktop buttons—which I never used, since I always swiped from one desktop to another.
Lingering Issues

Android's still not all the way there. There are still too many buried features, hidden by menu button, and general complexities, like a separate email app for non-Gmail accounts, remain. Selecting text, while now possible in the Gmail app, is confusing. And the white-on-black interface for the dialer and contacts seems even more out of place now that messages and Gtalk use a lighter UI.

The interface could always stand to be sleeker and more graceful. It's so strange, in a way, that Android has the most impressive voice controls and speech-to-text of any phone out there, but basic things like copy-and-paste can feel as slippery as brain surgery on a snail. The problem extends to the Android Market. Sure, one day we might be pushing apps to the phone from our desktop, but app discoverability, particularly on the phone itself, is a long way from optimal.

But you can see where things are going. And it feels more unified and complete than it ever has, which is a good thing. (Except the touch keyboard. It still feels like you're typing with two fingers glued together, and Andy Rubin didn't offer us much hope on that front.)
SOURCE

Thailand Holiday Deals

Do you want to know how to get a cheap Thailand holiday deal that is packed with quality 4 star accommodations? Tom yum Gar soup

2. Pud Thai noodles

3. Juicy red curry with roast duck

4. Hot Green curry with fresh coconut juice

5. Basil seafood

6. Chilli fresh mud crab

7. Spicy beef salad

8. Crispy green papaya salad

9. Cashew nut chicken stir fried

10. Open grill BBQ satays

I am a chef and I love my Thai food! Why? Thai cuisine is so interesting with all its flavours and fresh ingredients, you can hardly fault it. Thai food can also be very healthy for you if you use lean meat and fresh ingredients in your cooking. To be honest, it isn't hard to cook Thai food. The most important thing to remember is to use fresh in season produce and avoid frozen ingredients. Frozen ingredients usually have lost a lot of their flavours. Thai food can be made and served at dinner parties. It is also very easy to adapt to different peoples tastes. So if you have fussy guests it isn't difficult to satisfy them. The food has so many rich flavours it is hard for any food critic to find weakness in properly made Thai cuisine.

Have a safe trip and have a lovely time!

Lam Bong is an Author living in Sydney, Australia. All of these things are taking up space that should be reserved for work. I know I want to work my business in a stress-free environment; that starts with a clean and well equipped work area. How is this accomplished?

* It is optimal that you have a desk set aside from the everyday chaos of your life. No need for added distractions as you're trying to juggle your kids and a lucrative business. The kitchen table worked for a while, but the ideal would be to have an area to call your own for your business. Less risk for sticky papers and other things that collect on a kitchen table.
* If your desk is full of clutter, clear it off and only add back what you need. Remember to make it known throughout the house that your desk is off limits to any unauthorized personnel.

What other organizational products might you need for your at home desk? This may include things you'll need or someone else may need for their business. You'll get a good feel for it.

* Computer
* Pens
* Pencils
* Notebook
* A few catalogs if you distribute catalogs in your business.
* Files to hold company news, information, history
* Phone (with mute, 3 way calling, and unlimited long distance)
* headset for phone
* Calendar
* Calculator
* Shelving for file cabinet for paperwork, bills and other important papers.
* Files
* Stapler
* Paperclips
* Tape
* hole punch
* scissors
* staple remover
* mail supplies (stamps, envelopes, labels, shipping labels, boxes, packing tape, bubble wrap)
* printer ink
* business cards
* flyers
* sticky notes
* Bulletin board - Nice for reminders, appointments, inspirational quotes, family photos, or something from training you don't want to forget.
* stick pins for the bulletin board

*Your computer can help you reduce clutter even more:

* Use Excel as your calculator.
* Use Notepad or Word to write notes. This will allow for a smaller notepad and less space taken up by the pad. Use the notebook as a temporary holder for your notes when the computer isn't on or near by. Then transfer the notes to Word or Notebook if you'd still like to keep the notes. This also gives you the chance to organize your notes. Organize by date, topic, or whatever is most convenient for you. What a relief that would be to be able to rely on your notes being in all one place
* Use the calendar on your computer rather than a hard copy. Google has a calendar system where you can share your calendar with business associates so they can check to see if you're busy before they try to schedule a meeting with that person.

**In regards to the shelving, I would get only a couple of trays at a time. You'll have a better perception of how many trays you need once you learn the business you're in. If you end up needing quite a few you might want to upgrade to a filing cabinet. Did I miss anything? There are two main interest rate selections that a borrower must consider. A business mortgage can use a fixed rate, or a variable rate.

The way that a business mortgage works that has a fixed rate interest is that an interest rate is the same for a certain period of time. When this period of time is over with, the borrower has to pay the variable rate. In addition to the interest rate fees, the commercial mortgage lenders will also charge an arrangement fee.

Another charge that you might see with a fixed rate is an early redemption charge. This kind of charge can go over the fixed period of the loan. A lot of people have not agreed upon this extra charge, so most business mortgage lenders are now offering commercial mortgages that have no charges for any extra payments or changes the contracts after the fixed period of time is over with.

You most likely want to borrow a commercial mortgage that has a fixed rate when you think that the interest rate might increase or you want to make sure that what you pay each month pretty much stays the same over a longer period of time.

The other type of commercial mortgage is that which has a variable interest rate. This type of commercial mortgage carries an interest rate changes based on when the Bank of England's base rate changes. A lot of times, the variable interest rate can be lower than the rate on a fixed rate mortgage.

You actually have the possibility to save your money with a variable interest rate mortgage when the overall interest rate of the market goes down. If that same rate does go up, your monthly payment will also go up because your interest rate will increase.
If you compare business mortgages to residential mortgages, you will find that the interest rates run a little bit higher on the commercial mortgages. The terms of the arrangement will also run less than that of the residential mortgages. The rates whether fixed or variable are all based on the Bank of England base rate. You will find that the rates tend to be anywhere from one to 7 per cent higher than this base rate.

Once you have been approved for a business mortgage, you will negotiate the repayment terms. The terms that you will negotiate will be either a monthly repayment schedule or an interest-only payment schedule. The interest-only terms mean that you will also need to have another product that will handle the principle portion of the commercial mortgage.

If you are ready to talk to a business mortgages specialist, make sure that you get the specific details surrounding a fixed rate commercial mortgage versus a variable rate commercial mortgage. You'll also want to make sure that you get the details on any extra fees that might be added to your business mortgage.

Visit Business Mortgages Broker today to get a quotation for your business mortgage.

Visit http://www.businessmortgagesbroker.co.uk today to get a quotation for your finance. But by putting in a bit of research and choosing wisely it is possible to find a number of new and innovative brokers, finance companies, banks and financial institutions who are now prepared to offer car loans to self-employed workers. The reason for this is that because the loan market has opened up and there are more companies and banks permitted to lend money, the market for lenders is less cosy and more competitive and they are forced to be more amenable to a wider group of borrowers, This makes things a lot easier for the self-employed workers. So if you need a car for your business and you need a loan, you need to do the research and look for the most suitable loan from the most suitable broker for your needs.

Car loans will be divided into two groups, The first group will be unsecured loans which you can get without having to offer up anything as security for the loan. All you will need for an unsecured loan is proof that you have your own business and that the business earns you a sufficient monthly salary to enable you to repay the loan. Normally statements from your bank account will suffice as proof. The second group of loans are secured loans. These are loans where you do need to provide a fixed asset for security, and normally this will be your home, so it is worth thinking very carefully about whether you want to put your home up for collateral. Other than that the other thing to consider is the rate of interest. Normally the interest rate will be much lower for secured loans so unsecured loans offer the advantage that your house is not at risk but the disadvantage that you'll end up with higher monthly repayments.

Once you have decided which loan to go for all you need do is gather together the correct paperwork and proof of income. Even if you are self - employed all they wish to see is that you have a regular monthly income and that you have had that income for a long and consistent period of time. If you are self- employed but can show consistent income and a good credit history, you will be fine. It is even possible to find such loans on the internet which might be useful for self-employed people who are busy working from home. Not only do you not have to waste time going around town looking for the best brokers but the response time is normally extremely quick too. Do your research and you should be able to find brokers who specialize in loans for the self -employed. Normally they will be companies who sell all kinds of products to the self-employed, from self employed or contractor pensions to contractor tax solutions or umbrella companies to self employed mortgages. Do your research and find companies such as these and you will normally find better rates for self-employed car loans.

Greg Dickson is an expert in contractor and self-employed tax issues. He currently works for the Bedouin Group.

source here

N900

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1VU9boR7UKE/S2kKg-o8xeI/AAAAAAAAAO8/dqAZX-mX3UQ/s200/nokia-n900_1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433885987086058978" />
Nokia fans, don't disappear! We know it's been a hard year; Nokia's Symbian v.5 upgrade was a fizzer, and the flagship N97 suffered as a result. We know the Ovi Store really hasn't taken hold like it should have and that its other services, like Music and Maps, still need refining. But the Finns have an ace up their sleeves, a little system called Maemo running on a not-so little handset called the N900.
Design

They say that one in two people in Australia are obese, so maybe the N900's gut-busting waistline will go unnoticed when it's released in the land down under. At 16mm thick, the N900 feels like a PDA of days past, even though it looks like something considerably more modern. It also seems heavy, at 150g, but we seriously doubt this will upset too many users.

In terms of the hardware, the N900 is a home run. The 3.5-inch display is sharp and colourful, and is probably the most responsive screen we've used that works using resistive touchscreen technology. Push the screen up and you'll reveal a three-row full QWERTY keyboard. This keyboard isn't as roomy as some we've seen this year, but it does the trick for tapping out long emails and messages.

Around the edges of the phone you'll find volume keys, a 3.5mm headphone socket, a screen-lock switch, a resonable-sounding external speaker and a stylus. On the back is a 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss camera lens, with a software-activating sliding lens cover and a bright LED flash. Around the lens cover Nokia has chucked in an old favourite, a plastic kick-stand for sitting the phone on a flat surface and watching videos. Under the battery cover you'll find a microSD card slot, but it's likely you won't need it considering the N900 comes with 32GB of internal storage.
Maemo = multitasking

In truth Maemo means a lot more than just the ability to multitask, but it's this particular function that has left the strongest impression on us during our review. Without going into a complex description, Maemo is based on Linux and has been used by Nokia in the past to power its internet tablets, the N800 and N810, for example. Using Maemo is considerably different to using any other mobile OS, and it may take some users a few days to figure out how to best navigate the various menus.

In a way, this is a fault of Nokia's design. There is, for example, no "Home" key on the keyboard, but there is two ways to get to the desktop view by using the touchscreen, neither of which are properly sign-posted in the UI (either hit the "Task Switch" icon and then select the blurred out background, or press and hold the "Task Switch" icon for a few seconds). But once you get the hang of using the "Task Switch" icon you'll be zipping back and forth between active applications.

Aside from the learning curve, the one noticeable shortcoming of Maemo compared with the other smartphone systems is a distinct lack of apps to download. The N900 has software called "Application Manager" which guides you to a shortlist of some very good apps, but there are huge holes in this catalogue, noticeably social networking tools like Facebook and Twitter and some sort of streaming music service. There is ZouTube for (you guessed it) watching YouTube videos, and we found a cool app "gPodder" which we used for downloading our favourite podcasts.
Media and the web

Multitasking is great, but only if you have multiple tasks you want to perform. The N900 has exactly that. Whether it's watching videos, playing music, browsing the web or sending and receiving emails, the N900 covers all bases and the fact that you can do everything all at once is a major advantage. Web browsing in particular is fantastic, the pre-installed Mozilla browser is fast, easy to use and includes finger gestures to rival similar on the iPhone. And did we mention this Mozilla browser supports Flash? Well, it does, though watching a video in the browser can be a bit jittery.

The 5-megapixel is a minor let down, its Carl Zeiss optics don't seem to be able to compensate for less than perfect software and we have issues with both the auto-focus and the cold colour palette we've seen in the photos we've taken. With a little care the N900 is probably quite a capable camera, but we prefer our camera phones to shoot quickly and process accurately on the auto modes.
Performance

If its heavyweight specs haven't bowled you over already, the N900's stellar performance surely will. Whether you are swiping across its multiple desktop workspaces, using the task switcher or working within an app, the performance never lags. It's really quite amazing to watch an app download and a web page render simultaneously in the miniature thumbnail windows on the task switcher.

You'll be happy to know that the N900 also makes clear sounding voice calls, and includes threaded SMS (called Conversations) to help you keep track of the messages you send to friends. If you swipe your finger from left to right in the Conversations window you bring up a cursor which you can use to copy and paste text from a message to anywhere else in the phone.
Overall

For users who don't mind spending a little time getting to know a new system, the Nokia N900 is truly outstanding. We wouldn't dream of giving it to mum for Christmas, but it's definitely a phone we want to spend more time with ourselves. We've waited a long time to find a phone with the N900's capabilities matched with its stellar performance. The N900 is pushing smartphones to genius levels. If Nokia can convince software developers that Maemo is the next big thing this could be the system that both Apple and Google have to worry about.

Although it's not officially confirmed, the N900 should be officially released in Australia in 2010. If you can't wait till then, the N900 is available now through online vendor Mobicity.com.au.

Plymouth City guide, including Plymouth Hotels

Plymouth is the vibrant regional capital of Devon and Cornwall. That means more respect, better valet treatment, more dates. Luckily, in most cases there's some truth to back up the image. According to reliable car reviews, despite the increasing availability of features on lower-end cars these days, luxury cars still live up to their name by offering materials that look and feel better (i.e. real wood in the dash, real aluminum instead of painted plastic), soft leather (instead of hard leather, or leather mixed with vinyl), better sound insulation ' all standard. Luxury cars are also held to a higher standard of performance with more cylinders, better brakes and suspensions, and best of all, often trade up from plain front-wheel-drive layouts to rear-wheel-drive, making driving more interesting. Who wouldn't want their commute to be cozier and more fun at the same time? As a bonus, the owning experience will likely be richer all the way through, thanks to more courteous sales/service and a longer warranty.

The Bad

That stuff costs money. Stepping up from a compact-sized new car (say, a Mazda 3) to a like-sized luxury car (say, a BMW 3-series) takes a cool dozen grand. Worse, the increase grows exponential as you ascend in the range: from a Honda Accord to an Acura RL takes $25,000, and from a Toyota Avalon to a BMW 750i takes an extra $40,000. In other words, the cost of one big Bimmer is enough for two Avalons and change. And don't forget maintenance costs; ever seen the price of BMW parts?

The Ugly

It used to just be a matter of swallowing the price and writing the check, but many luxury makes have felt the need to prove the worth of their cars by confusing the hell out of the drivers. First it was Mercedes' COMAND. Then it was BMW's iDrive ' by far the worst of the bunch ' and finally Audi's MultiMedia Interface. To a lesser degree, heavy-handed electronics and interfaces have crept into Japanese, American, and British luxury cars as well. What good is that 14-speaker stereo if you have to stop and look up in the manual how to change the station? Some of these electronics have also proven to be quite troublesome, causing the average reliability rankings of their parent companies to nosedive. Nothing luxurious about that.

But if you have the patience and tolerance, the world's best cars are waiting for you. At a price.

Ian Velvet publishes MotorTrend.com's car reviews articles. This is one good reason why car insurance is required for all of us to avail. But one question that may come up into your mind is that where and how to get a cheap car insurance policy?

This is one of the basic concerns of most people. We cannot deny the fact that car insurance is somehow expensive depending on the circumstances. But there are some ways on how to have a cheap car insurance that can provide full protection that every one of us needs.

These are some basic tips on how to get cheap car insurance:

Credit standing and history should be clean ' Make it to the point to have and to maintain a clean credit history. As much as possible, make this one your basic priority. A good credit standing and a clean credit history means that you are a reliable person in payment and financial matters and because of this, most insurance companies will be willing to provide significant amount of discount that most of us wants. On the other hand, if you have a bad credit history, you will forfeit your privilege to avail of the discount and would eventually pay a much higher premium.

Occupation with lower risk involved ' The nature of work you are engaged in is also one of the determining factors in computing your car insurance premium. Insurance companies have formulated their statistics based on their research on the jobs that often get into car accidents. And with years of study, they have seen the trend. If your job fall on the category of risky jobs, then the tendency is you would get higher car insurance quote, but one good side of it is that there are also jobs that are entitled for discounts. This may not be applicable for every one. But the best thing that you can do is to shop around and ask some insurance companies about this matter.

Drive a not so expensive or a low profile car ' The car that you drive also affects the quoted premium. You can see those people who drive high class cars or so called luxury cars. They would be paying a higher car insurance premium because of it. The main reason for this is that, these kinds of cars are very susceptible to theft and certain major damages. It is advised that you only use those not so expensive cars for you to have cheaper car insurance policy.

Equip your car with safety features and make it as safe as possible ' Along with driving a low profile car, it is also advisable that you put safety features in your car such as anti-lock brakes, seatbelt, airbags, etc. Most car insurance companies would offer lower payments to the owners of the cars with such features present. Online quotes comparison ' One of the best ways to have cheap car insurance is to look for it online. There are many websites available that can offer free car insurance quotes online. You should provide valid and honest answers for the questions for you to have a valid estimation of your quote. This may not comprise the actual premium cost but at least you will have a rough estimate of your car insurance premium. This is also one way to determine which insurance company provides the best premium quote with best coverage offered.

Online quotes comparison ' One of the best ways to have cheap car insurance is to look for it online. There is a vast range of sports self assembled cars, ranging from the basic Locost right up to The latest Italian exotica. This article will try to give you a taste of what you could be driving if you decide to produce it yourself.

So you have resolved to assemble your own sports car, but where do you start? I suggest that you examine a few models that you like the look of from a variety of manufacturers. Taking for example, a Cobra replica, there are a wide range of build options as well as cost and skill requirements. So you will need to decide how much you want to spend and look at your own capabilities before you make a final decision on a specific manufacturer.

Next, I suggest that you check out the manufacturers Owners Club. Many have websites or forums where you can post questions or check out possible concerns you may have. If the kit manufacturer offers poor support or poor quality components, the forums are where you are told!

Now you should have a shortlist of likely Sports car projects, a budget to work to and a fair idea of the mechanical skills required. You now should now be able to pick a kit. In order to make a choice, I suggest that you go to the kit car shows or manufacturers open days and talk to other kit car builders. Remember, they have significant experience in constructing your chosen model and can give you advice if you should get stuck with a particular problem.

Once you have handed over your money for a particular model, the work really begins. Even before the kit is picked up, you should track down the cleanest, most mechanically sound donor vehicle that you can. The better the donor, the better the finished sports car you will be driving. All relevant mechanical parts should be removed and cleaned as per the kit builders manual. If you are not fully happy with the condition of a part then it should be renewed. Don't gamble with your safety. It is advisable at this stage to get insurance cover for your kit project.

For most kit cars, assembling the vehicle is rather uncomplicated. Any manufacturer that has sold more than a few kits will have a detailed manual detailing every stage, in the right order. If you have problems then go back to the manufacturer, Owners Club or forums. You will be surprised at how helpful your fellow kit builders are. It is in the manufacturers own interests to make it easier for you as much as possible, and many have dedicated helplines for this purpose. After all, when you drive the car, you will become a traveling billboard for their product.

Now that you have assembled the vehicle you will need to ensure that any testing and required licensing is in order before taking to the road. Again, the manufacturer and Owners Club are the ideal people to give you a helping hand.

When you take your finished sports car on the road, you will feel a sense of accomplishment as you drive a hand crafted sports car that you constructed yourself.

Mark Heywood runs Premier Kit Cars, a website dedicated to helping enthusiasts select and build their own kit cars.

Gas guzzlers: the cost of running a car today

We're a nation of car users ' although not always by choice. Expensive and unreliable public transport systems have forced many of us onto the roads, but having a car certainly isn't a cheap alternative. The cost of owning a car, even if you don't use it much, is very expensive. There's vehicle licence duty, insurance, MOT and the depreciation in value, all of which add up. Combined with the costs of actually driving the car, from petrol and oil to tyres and servicing, it can really burn a hole in your pocket. However, there are ways in which you can keep costs to a minimum.

To keep or use your vehicle on any public road, you must pay vehicle licence duty (also known as road tax, car tax or vehicle excise duty) and display a tax disc on your car windscreen to show that you have paid the duty. Tax discs aren't transferable so you can't change them from one car to another ' you'll need one for each car. The cost of the vehicle licence duty is graded depending on the size, purpose, engine capacity, fuel type and CO2 emissions. So the more fuel-efficient and environmentally-friendly your car is, the less you'll pay to tax it. Small petrol/electric hybrid cars such as the Honda Insight pay no duty, while the average small car will cost around '100 and the biggest gas guzzler up to '210.
Car insurance is another legal requirement. You must have at least third party cover to cover the costs of repairing other vehicles should you have an accident in which you are deemed to be at fault.
Policies normally run for a period of one year, although some providers accept payments in monthly instalments rather than one annual fee. Premiums are higher than ever now, but despite this people can be lazy about arranging their insurance, just renewing with the same insurer when the renewal quote comes through. It pays to shop around, though, as insurance companies don't tend to reward their long-term customers. Instead, most providers offer attractive deals to new customers, so it's worth getting lots of quotes. Most major insurers now have online quotation forms, so it's quick and easy to get a price. Remember to examine the exact terms and conditions of each policy, though. Some quotes that seem cheap may not include facilities that others do, such as legal assistance and courtesy car provision should your car need repaired. Also check the excess amount that you'll need to pay in the event of a claim ' cheaper policies tend to have larger excesses.
Insurance companies calculate premiums based on the perceived degree of risk of the person insured and likelihood of a claim ' young, male drivers who have only recently passed their test are regarded the highest risk. New drivers can help to reduce their premiums by taking the Pass Plus course offered by the British School of Motoring. It provides six hours of advanced training, including motorway skills and you'll get a certificate for completing it, which is recognised by many insurance companies. The course costs '100, but the savings on premiums can be two or three times this.
The heightened threat of terrorism, increasing demand for fuel from emerging economies such as China, and high rates of fuel duty levied by the government, have seen UK petrol prices rocket phenomenally over recent years. However, until viable alternative fuels become a reality, we'll have to pay the prices at the pump. Think about how you could cut down on the fuel you use, though. For a start, a smaller car will give you more miles per gallon. Try to share journeys with other people, or just walk or cycle if it's not that far. Have your vehicle serviced and the tyre pressure checked regularly ' keeping your car running to the best of its ability will reduce fuel consumption. Don't carry unnecessary weight in your car when you don't need to. For example, remove roof racks when not in use.
To keep your car safe and legal on the roads, you'll need to obtain an MOT certificate every year if your car is three or more years old. This test ensures that your car meets the minimum government environmental and road safety standards. It currently costs '44 for private domestic vehicles, but if you need any repairs or adjustments made to your car to pass the test, it will of course cost you more. It's wise to have a regular service as well as MOT to keep your car running effectively. Recommended service intervals are always given by the car manufacturer. Service costs between garages can vary considerably, particularly between franchised dealers and independent garages, with franchised dealers inevitably the most expensive. Watch out for labour costs in particular, which can range from '25 to '115 per hour. Following action by the Office of Fair Trading in 2004, vehicles under warranty are no longer required to be serviced at a franchised dealer of the manufacturer, so even if your car is new you can have it serviced at a cheaper independent garage.
Purchasing a vehicle is never an investment. As soon as you drive a new car off the forecourt its value starts to plummet. Depreciation is one of the hidden costs of running a car, but it is a very significant one. Value decreases quickly as a car ages, and it costs a lot to maintain, so you'll never make your money back on it when you sell it. Buying a second-hand car is a much cheaper option in terms of depreciation.
On top of all of these costs, motorists are bombarded with car parking charges and road tolls. It's just about impossible to find free parking in large towns and cities these days ' and some cities charge a congestion fee just for driving in the centre of town. Many key bridges are toll-paying and the UK now has its first toll motorway, a spur of the M6. Remember, if it's all too expensive, there's always the bus or train!
Biography:
Author: Benedict Rohan Website: http://www.mortgagenation.co.uk
Benedict Rohan works as a freelance finance writer

0% Credit Cards

These days, credit cards in the UK are competing with each other on two very attractive offers with a headline rate of 0%. These 0% credit cards will be either balance transfers; introductory purchases offers or a combination of the two. This article looks at how to get the best out these types of card and the things to that the credit card companies want you to do and therefore the things to avoid. There is a school of thought that believes that these types of card will soon be a thing of the past as they cost the credit card companies too much profit, as consumers get wiser to the pitfalls.

A balance transfer credit card is basically an offer of either a zero interest rate or very low interest rate for a set period. The typical period is 6 months although there are variations on this and there have even been some low rates set for the lifetime of the balance. However, these are becoming rare. Once, the offer period expires then the outstanding balance reverts to the standard rate on purchases. This is very important, as at this point the credit card company will hope the consumer will not take any action and so the company can begin to earn money on the balance.

A 0% purchase offer credit card has many similarities to the balance transfer offers. The introductory rate and period are usually 0% and 6 months in the same way as the balance transfer. Also, once the period expires the outstanding balance is subject to the standard rate on purchases. It is an important point to note that the introductory rate does not apply indefinitely on purchases made in the period, but only applies for the duration of the introductory period.

It is often the case that credit card companies will offer both the balance transfer and 0% on purchases on the same card. When this is not the case it is wise to keep balance transfers and purchases separate. This is because the balance transfer portion of an outstanding balance will be paid off quicker than the standard rate purchases. Therefore an increasing portion of the balance will be subject to the standard rate and the balance transfer portion will decrease at a faster rate. There is nothing to stop a consumer obtaining a credit card with a balance transfer and a separate low interest credit card for any purchases to be made. That way the benefits of the offers are maximised.

In summary the balance transfer and 0% purchase offers can be of great benefit to the consumer provided that the consumer understands how to use the offers to their advantage. A degree of discipline is required in managing repayments. Also, the cardholder should be aware of any penalties that may cause the offer to be cancelled. Armed with this knowledge then these cards can be made to work for the consumer, but remember that when comparing credit cards to pay close attention to the typical APR, which is, always stated where UK credit cards are promoted.

Choosing A New Credit Car

1. Choosing A new credit card

There are many reasons for applying for a new credit card. It may be your first card or you may wish to reduce the amount of interest you\'re paying each month or if you\'re lucky enough to pay off your balance each month you may wish to take advantage of one of the many reward schemes around.

To help you choose we have compiled a set of questions and answers. One thing to consider is that you need more than one new card. For example if you have an outstanding balance and use still make purchases you should consider switching to a balance transfer card for the outstanding balance and a seperate card for the ongoing purchases. This is provided you pay off the ongoing purchases of course.

2. What To Ask - Standard Questions

Scenario : You pay off your existing balance each month

Solution : Choose a reward scheme card. These will either pay be cash or may be points that can be used to purchase certain products.

Scenario : You have an outstanding balance but still make ongoing purchases

Solution : Transfer the existing balance to 0% balance transfer card and at the same time get an introductory purchase offer card. This way you can allow the introductory purchase card balance to build up, while you pay off the balance transfer card. You need to be very disciplined with approach though. If you have taken up a balance transfer then try to avoid new purchases on this card as repayments are weighted towards the lower interest part of the balance.

Scenario : You have a large purchase coming up

Solution : Apply for an introductory purchase card and then pay off the balance over the period of the offer.

Scenario : You have a poor credit history

Solution : There are some high interest cards around for people with a poor credit history. If you do obtain one of these cards then make sure you always make your repayments. This way you will slowly build up your credit rating, which will eventually make the lower interest cards available to you.

3. Can your existing card be improved

This is one option that most people completely ignore. It is entirely possible that you may be able to negotiate a new rate on your card, especially if you have another card with a lower rate. They can only say no, so what have you got to lose.

4. Should I close my existing card

Not neccessarily is the answer. You may be able to use this card in the future for a balance transfer. Also, don\'t forget that you normally get around 58 days interest free credit. So you may be able to make the odd one-off purchase and spread the cost over a couple of months.

5. Finally ...

Please remember the golden rule. Only borrow what you can avoid to borrow. If you are careful you can make the credit cards work for you, but if the credit card companies make a lot of money out of people allowing the spending to get out of control. Don\'t allow yourself to be one of these people.

Flight compensation: your rights

It's really no fun when you're stuck in the wrong place or left hanging around in an airport because of flight delays and cancellations ' and what's more it can leave you out of pocket. However, a new set of regulations that came into force in 2005 to provide enhanced compensation rights for passengers. Read on to find out more.

The regulations apply to all flights (chartered, scheduled and budget) to and from European airports with European airlines (whether or not you are an EU resident). If the problem is deemed to be the airline's fault, or within the airline's control, it will be liable to pay compensation to its affected travellers.
The amount of compensation you can claim depends on various factors, including the extent of the inconvenience caused, the distance you are travelling and the price of your ticket, but on the whole you are entitled to cash compensation as well as refreshments, two phone calls or other methods of communication, accommodation if required, a refund on your ticket and free transport back to your point of departure ' and/or alternative transport to your intended destination.
Extreme weather conditions such as snow or fog are of course not within the airline's control, so there is no obligation in these cases to compensate passengers. And some airlines deem problems such as technical faults or strikes to be 'exceptional circumstances' beyond their control so compensation claims aren't always straightforward. However, some airlines will provide refreshments and accommodation and perhaps ticket refunds on a good will basis.
Flights under 1,500 kilometres (935 miles)
For short haul flights you're entitled to compensation if you're delayed for two hours or more. You'll get free food and drink and access to two free phone calls, faxes or emails. If you're left waiting for five hours or more, you can leave the airport and demand a refund as well as an alternative flight back to your starting point. You can also claim '250 cash compensation if your flight is cancelled, you have been overbooked or you have been delayed for two or more hours.
Flights between 1,500 and 3,500 kilometres (935 to 2,210 miles)
Your cash compensation entitlement for delays of up to three hours is '200 and for delays over three hours it is '400. Again, you'll be provided with food and drink, overnight accommodation and phone calls, emails or faxes. A ticket refund and alternative flight back to your starting point will be given in circumstances where you are delayed for over five hours or your flight has been cancelled or overbooked.
Flights more than 3,500 kilometres (2,210 miles)
Long haul flights come with a compensation entitlement of '600 for cancellations or overbookings or delays of four hours or more plus the same entitlement to refreshments, accommodation, communication and alternative transport.
You shouldn't have to do anything to obtain your compensation ' the airline should offer it to you. However, if you don't get anything, your first step should be to contact the airline. If you don't have any success dealing with the airline direct, get in touch with the Air Transport Users Council, the UK consumer body representing air passengers and their rights. It will look after your case on your behalf and may refer it to the Civil Aviation Authority if necessary, which has the power to prosecute airlines for non-compliance.
Biography:
Author: Benedict Rohan
Website: http://www.mortgagenation.co.uk Benedict Rohan works as a freelance finance writer. It is because these mean machines not only assist the various individuals to commute from one place to another, it also adds a certain glamour factor. With more emphasis being given on comfort and space, the present day car comes in various shapes and sizes. However it is the price factor which makes it an expensive affair. To help those individuals who do not have the necessary financial back up, lenders in the finance market are now offering car loans.

These loans are especially meant to provide finances which in turn enable a person to buy his or hers dream car. The amount obtained under these loans can be obtained to purchase a car of any make or model. Moreover, borrower can also use the amount to purchase a used car provided it must be at least 5-6 years old.

For the convenience of the borrower, lenders offer these loans in secured and unsecured form. Secured form of the loans can be accessed only by pledging any valuable asset such as home, real estate as collateral. In fact, borrower can also pledge the car as collateral to secure the loan amount.

On the other hand, unsecured form of the loans can be accessed by the borrower without providing any valuable asset as collateral. This loan option is beneficial for borrowers like tenants and non homeowners. The interest rates for the loans are slightly higher but if a proper research of the market is undertaken, borrower can find lenders offering these loans at competitive rates.

Individual borrowers with bad credit history such as CCJs, IVA, arrears, defaults etc can also apply for the loans. To avail the loans, borrower must convince the lender that he is capable of repaying the loan amount with his monthly income.

Further using the online mode will assist the borrower to avail these loans at cheap interest rates that too instantly. However before availing the loans, borrower must compare the quotes to select a better deal.

With car loans, borrower can easily purchase a car that too at the best available terms and conditions.

source :
http://www.borrowcarloans.co.uk/

Wood Gas - The Future Biomass-Derived Fuel

Let's assume, that you own a farm. You produce grain and have a lot of straw. You'd like to make your energy on site from the biomass you have available. You might plant your fields with rapeseed or canola and produce biodiesel. But you'd need to get methanol and lye first, since both of them can't be made there! And you can use your biodiesel only in compression ignition (diesel) engines. And what if you have an old genset powered by spark-ignition (gasoline / petrol) engine? I think I might have a solution for you...

You'll make use of a technology that's more than 200 years old. It's greatest development took place during World War II in 1940s in Europe. At that time most of petroleum-derived fuels were used by military and there was no fuel left for civilians. So they made their own fuel, the wood gas from wood or charcoal. In some countries 95% of civilian transport (trucks, buses, even fishermen's boats) were fueled with this gas.

What is this wood gas? From chemical point of view it's a mixture of combustible carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen (H2) and methane (CH4), dilluted with some water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N2). This gas can be easily used for almost every internal combustion engine. Well... except for the most modern ones, they'd require to have their electronics to be modified.

How wood gas is made? When you heat wood it is pyrolysed, i.e. all the tars vaporize. When you add some oxygen, the carbon bound within the wood cells is burnt to carbon dioxide. The vapors burn too. When those burnt gasses pass through a layer of very hot char, they are reduced to carbon monoxide and hydrogen. A small amount of methane is also produced. When the gas is cooled and cleaned of any tars and particles, it can be used in internal combustion engine, boiler or any other device!

What do you need to produce your own wood gas? You'd need a device that's called gasifier. It consists of fuel hopper, gasifying chamber and a set of filters. It's very easy to build, the people during WWII made it out of old water heaters and stuff like that.

Is wood gas safe? Well, if you don't inhale it, you'll be OK. Carbon monoxide is very toxic and poisonous, so caution is required when using wood gas. From the engine point of view, if it's clean, it's safe. The tars might condense inside the engine, for example on valves, which might cause the engine to fail. The particles would probably destroy the contact surfaces on pistons and cylinders. If the gas is too hot the engine will not work (hot gas is diluted and has small energy content per unit volume), but it will not harm it.

Any drawbacks? One that's worth mentioning. Petrol engines will suffer 1/3 power loss -- the wood gas does have small heating value. Diesel engines will not suffer such power loss, since they work on stratified mixtures and because of that you can introduce more wood gas to recover the power loss. You'd need to leave some small amount of diesel to be injected to the cylinders to ignite the wood gas.

Interested? One liter of petrol / gasoline can be replaced with 2.5 - 4 kg (5.5 - 9 lbs) of wood. How cool is that!

source : http://alternative-car-fuels.com

Avoid Highway Robbery by Using The New Crude--WATER

HERE'S THE BAD NEWS.

Engines waste gasoline! Up to 80% of the high-priced gas that you pump doesn't get you anywhere because it goes UNBURNED to the catalytic converter. That means you are getting 0 MPG (zero, zilch, nada) from most of the over-priced gasoline you pump into your tank.

WHY DO COMBUSTION ENGINES WASTE SO MUCH GAS?

That's what they are designed to do--WASTE GAS--because every second of every day, everywhere in the world, every single gas and diesel engine on the planet puts money into the deep, deep, DEEP pockets of Big Oil.

Automotive and fuel technology has been deliberately held back, and people have been kept in the dark about AMAZING inventions and discoveries, in order to sell us lots of gasoline. Sorry, but that's how it is.

For example, the gas could be preheated and better formulated for better combustion--but it's not. The fuel vapor droplets could be smaller for efficient combustion--but they're not. The pre-set computer-controlled air-to-fuel ratio could be more economical--but it's not. The exhaust could be reprocessed to contribute to mileage (there are patents on that)--but it's not. Cars could be using a better carburetor design--but they're not because the patent for a 100 MPG carburetor was bought and buried years ago. Cars could be running completely on water fuel--but they're not because those patents were also bought and then buried along with the inventor (however, the patents ran out recently!). Even the hybrids that Big Auto is selling at luxury car prices don't optimize gasoline combustion and consumption.

HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS.

You can do something about it, ONE CAR AT A TIME, starting with YOUR car.

How? By using ENERGY from WATER.

If that sounds impossible, or crazy, or delusional, I understand. This is something that none of our trusted sources of information--TV, radio, teachers, movies, professors, magazines, dad, scientists, books, Sesame Street--have told us about. Why? See the bad news, above.

I mentioned amazing inventions and discoveries. Many of them have very sophisticated technical patents on them. But the kind of water energy system I am talking about, the one that is affordable and do-able by ME and YOU in OUR cars (not by buying a Big Auto hybrid with a luxury car pricetag), is a do-it-yourself technology, specifically designed for beginners with basic tools and very limited budgets. A working system can be built at home for $20 to $200 worth of parts and installed in your car, truck, or SUV on a weekend. It's a 90-year-old technology that has been revived and developed into a simple, affordable, SAFE system based on low-cost hardware.

It works like this: The main component of the low-cost water energy system is an electrolyzer-a container of water with electrodes in it. The electrolyzer takes a tiny bit of electricity from your car. The electricity "splits" water into hydroxyl gas and feeds it immediately to the engine cylinders. The improved air/fuel mix gets very efficient combustion.

SPINNING WHEELS, NOT HEADS

Remember the bad news at the top? Remember I said that wasted fuel can be as much as 80%? In other words, even though you have paid $3.50 or more per gallon, you are only getting performance from as little as 20%--two gallons out of every ten--of the gas you pay good money for! It puts a whole new complexion on the phrase "highway robbery."

Our heads are spinning from rising gas prices. Now imagine instead that ALL your gasoline is working for you--it's actually turning your wheels and not just being turned into carbon deposits on your engine or exhaust from the catalytic converter. What would it be like for ALL that gasoline to be giving you mileage? It would be a WHOLE LOT MORE ECONOMICAL, that's what! That's what happens when you add the energy from water.

SEEING THE SEA OF ENERGY

Wondering how much energy is in water?

One gallon of water converts to approximately 1,833 gallons of combustible gas. One observer noted that a gallon of water in his water energy system lasted for about 2,700 miles.

"Energy from water" is hard to believe because we are misled by the appearance of water when it's liquied. It looks so, well, WET and noncombustible. But if we could SEE the sea of energy in the water--zillions of hydrogen and oxygen atoms ready to break out and be combustible gas under the right conditions--it would be easy to conceive that, indeed, water can be "burned" in an engine, thus taking advantage of a new "crude"--plain water.

Why aren't scientists telling us about this? Why doesn't it make big headlines? More bad news. Some of them just don't know about it, and some are paid to tell us about anything BUT this. Also, scientists are sometimes far behind empirical evidence from experimenters and inventors. Sometimes a true scientist makes an amazing discovery and is suddenly way ahead of everyone. What happens then? He or she has to fight all the other scientists that are way behind or too vested in the old paradigm. So who are the true scientists around here? A TRUE scientist could be anyone, including a scientist.

THE LAW OF CONSERVATION

Here is something to ponder from Patrick J. Kelly of http://www.PanaceaUniversity.org. He has a delightful way of tilting one's mind out of its box:

"The Law of Conservation of Energy is undoubtedly correct when it shows that more energy cannot be taken out of any system than is put into that system. However, that does not mean that WE cannot get more energy out of a system than WE put into it. A crude example is a solar panel in sunlight. We get electrical power out of the panel but we do not put the sunlight into the panel-the sunlight arrives on its own. This example is simple as we can see the sunlight reaching the solar panel.

"If, instead of the solar panel, we had a device which absorbs some of the energy that Quantum Mechanics observes and then gives out, say, electrical power, would that be so different? Most people say "yes!--it is impossible!" but this reaction is based on the fact that we cannot see this sea of energy. Should we say that a TV set cannot possibly work because we cannot see a television transmission signal?"

BUT ISN'T IT DANGEROUS?

We have been living and driving with danger for decades--it's called GASOLINE! Cars and trucks are planet-polluting bombs on wheels! But we are accustomed to it, right? And for the most part, we don't blow ourselves up.

But in the water energy system, I know, you think we're talking about tanks of compressed hydrogen in the car, but that's not how it is done! Here's the beauty of it:

Hydrogen is already compressed in plain water!

All we do in a water for fuel system is UNCOMPRESS and USE it--immediately, on-demand, in the engine! No hydrogen bombs on board. Just a container of distilled water! And the exhaust is--WATER! You split water, you burn it, you get fantastic mileage, you get a little water left over.

GREEN TECHNOLOGY

You can't get much greener than this unless you go for an engine designed to run completely on water, like the one that was designed and proven by Stanley Meyers when he drove across the United States on approximately 28 gallons of water. (You can see interviews with him on YouTube.) You can't get much more affordable, either. And because this is GREEN technology, and you will not be causing any damage to the car or the engine (far from it), your warranty will most likely be intact AND the government will owe you money for going green!

INSTALL WATER ENERGY SYSTEM, DROP JAW

You could pay someone to install your water for gas system. There are hundreds of people around the world who are constructing and installing water energy systems, as well as driving "watercars" themselves. These people save gas, save money, get much better mileage, and enjoy smoother-running engines and greatly reduced emissions. And that's why they are happy to do the same for you so you can save gas, save money, get much better mileage, and enjoy a smoother-running engine and reduced emissions.

Or you could do it yourself, in which case you would first get instructions, which are available on line. Then you would make a parts list and buy the parts from hardware and electronics stores. Third, you would construct the components of the water energy system, put them all together, and install the system, making all the necessary adjustments to it. You would now be the proud owner of a Water Hybrid Vehicle. And last, after picking up your jaw from the floor, where it has dropped in astonishment at your engine's mileage and performance, you would become an advocate of water energy, as I have.

BETTER COMBUSTION FOR THE MIND

To really grasp the implications and possibilities here, we must first clean the carbon deposits out of our minds. Using waterfuel is an approach to our cars and fuel that requires more participation from us. The whole water energy system consists of physical components PLUS your mind and attitudes about fuel consumption. To really optimize your waterfuel system, you will also be using fuel warmer, some Kiker wires to improve the spark, Xylene to add to your gasoline, a low-friction synthetic motor oil, a couple bottles of fuel treatment to clean carbon deposits from old unburned fuel out of your engine, a MAP sensor enhancer to keep the car computer from over-correcting the fuel mix back to over-rich, tires that are always fully inflated, and a real-time mileage tracker so that you won't have to use an entire tank of gas to know what mileage you are getting.

Perhaps the most important thing is this:

Trust yourself.

When you use an "alternative" fuel-efficiency system, you are an experimenter who is going against the herd and chances are, you are going to get some flack. Don't be fooled by self-appointed "experts" who don't have hands-on experience and say it can't be done. When they laugh or frown or condescend and say, "It's scientifically impossible," well, first of all, you know they are not "true scientists" (so why are they acting like they know what "scientifically" means?). Ask them if they have ever tried it themselves. You will find they have not. Further discussion might be fruitless, but you can try. Tell them to just wait and see. See for yourself. Don't wait ten years for big industry to do it because they don't want to GIVE you anything--they are only thinking about what they can GET from you while they continue making empty promises.

WHAT CAN A WATER ENERGY SYSTEM REALLY DO FOR ME?

Well…

How much will gas cost the next time you fill your tank?

A water energy system won't lower the price of ALL gasoline.

It will lower the price of YOURS. But don't just take my word for it.

Leslie Lackman is an advocate of the application of free, unlimited energies--mind, water, life force--to cars, health, wellness, and performance.

http://water4gas-4heroes.eoltt.com

Make money, get traffic for FREE

there is a question in my mind that i could not figure out before.....I made my blog attractively but where are the visitors? none of them visits your sites. so what should we do? there is an easiest way to solve this....
yes, you are right!!! This include not only established well known websites but also relatively small sites and blogs. As the ads are related to what your visitors are looking for on your site i.e. they match the characteristics and interests of the visitors your content attracts, there is a way both monetize and enhance your content pages.

Hence, AdSense gives website operators the ability to make money from their websites by displaying Google Ads. When your website visitors click on a Google Ad, you gain income from that click. Providing high quality, relative content to attract your visitors is key to making money with AdSense.

There are now many sale pages in the Web offering their services on how to increase your income through Google Adsense but they charge a fee. However if you spend some and effort to look around, we could chance upon some sites giving free tips and advice. The following are some of the things you could study for your own purpose:

1) Where you place your Adsense unit on your web page could be very important. There are a few possibilities.

1.1) Top Left corner - Depending on whether your site content usability or your Adsense ad revenue is more important, you may consider putting your ad unit here while putting your site navigation on the right hand side or vice versa. Some simple pages are known to be created solely to monetize that page through Google Adsense. In this case, the choice of left and right doses not really matter. 1.2) Top of the page - This is the best position as it is where the visitor's first impression or attention is drawn. Before he could scroll further down the page, the hope is that he would click at the ad here!

1.3) The space at the end of the page i.e. following the main content - the reason for this is that we want to prompt further clicking here at the ad after the visitor finishes reading your main content and is leaving the site or looking for the next thing to move to. If the page is long, you can also consider putting ad units some where in the middle of the content.

2) You should take note that more ad units do not guarantee higher revenue. According to Google, ads with higher CPC (Cost or Pay Per Click) are having higher display priority. In fact, if there is lesser ad units in the page, most of the ads displayed would have higher paying rate.

3) Color of the ad is important to attract the attention of visitors. Some believe that it is best to blend the colors of the ad ( ad title, border, background, links and text) with those of the main page.

4) To ensure that you get more clicks on the Adsense ad, you have to drive as much traffic to your site as possible. One way is to start writing articles and distributing them to through ezine, article announcement lists and by submitting to article directories.

It is not too difficult to quickly build a strong list giving your sites a lot of visibility and exposure to potential visitors.

5) Make full use of your out going e-mails by putting your "signature" file at the end of each e-mail content. Do not ignore this simple step and underestimate the power and potential effectiveness of this simple email signature. It could be one form of viral marketing because if your emails contains interesting and useful messages, they could get forwarded over and over again.

6) Take part in active discussion groups or forums. Any messages, questions, comments you leave in these forums are yet another route through which you could drive traffic to your Adsense page because of your signature file. Also, you would find a lot of new ideas in the forums on how to improve your Adsense income.

Affiliate Program To Make Money Easily

After you have joined an affiliate program, there are several crucial steps you will need to take in order to secure an easy way to make money with affiliate programs. Adsense is what is known as a Pay Per Click (PPC) program. You place the special code in different places on your website, and when a visitor clicks on it, you get paid. It is as simple as that, but it is still not as easy as it sounds.

Unlike an affiliate program in which you are usually trying to get someone to buy a product so that you can get a commission, each click from Adsense puts a few pennies in your pocket. These pennies will quickly add up, depending on the amount of website visitors you have.

If there is ever a program that works on the number of visitors, it is Adsense. If you receive millions of website hits every week, it is fair to say that you will also receive a few hundred to hundreds of thousands of dollars from Adsense. The more visitors you have the more clicks you will receive and more money you have on your monthly check.

Adsense issues a check once a month to any member who has made over one hundred dollars at the end of the two months prior. For example, if the month is now October, you will receive a check if you made over one hundred dollars at the end of August. Your September paycheck will be issued in November if you met the hundred dollar cut off.

People like the Problogger Rowse, have learned to use Adsense to the fullest. Rowse makes hundreds of thousands of dollars each month from his home in Australia and as the years pass by, his income is not dropping. He has literally turned Adsense into his own work at home business.

All of us cannot be Darren Rowse however, and in reality you will be lucky to make a few hundred dollars a year from Adsense, if you were to place it on your website. However, a few hundred dollars is always useful. You don't have to build your website around, but you should find out where it is best placed on your website.

You will get the best results from Adsense by making sure that your keywords and site content are tightly focused. Do some research so that you know what people are searching for. Write your page content around the keywords that people use to search on that topic.

Adsense works by searching your site to see which keywords fit your site. Once this is found, Adsense will show relevant text ads or banners if you have chosen when you created your code. You can also show both text and banners links in one form. You don't need to kill yourself trying to become a millionaire using Adsense but you can add it to your websites as a way to make money on the side of your affiliate sites.

Making Money from Web Site with Google AdSense

Google AdSense is the Google program where you can host pay-per-click ads on your Web site. When someone clicks an ad, you earn money. Simple as that.

Is it really as easy to make money with Google AdSense as many would lead you to believe? Now that I've become heavily involved with managing Google AdSense programs for my clients, I can see it's not all play and no work.

Unfortunately, a lot of people bought into the idea that there was a lot of easy money to be made and they are now finding out they aren't making nearly as much as they thought they would. Additionally, Google has a lot of prohibited practices when it comes to AdSense, and too many Webmasters are finding out they violated Google's policies after the fact - often because they never bothered to read the AdSense policies in the first place. Webmasters must not only comply with AdSense policies, but their web sites must also comply with Google's webmaster policies.

Prerequisites for Making Money with AdSense To make money with Google AdSense you need plenty of traffic coming in to your site or there won't be anyone to click the ads. Web site promotion techniques, especially search engine optimization and article marketing will bring more traffic to your site. You also need to have content that will attract the ads with the highest Pay Per Click (PPC) rate that are relevant to that content. Then, you need to lay out your web pages so the ads blend in with your Web site. Studies have revealed that people who visit sites that contain ads that use colors that are not in harmony with the actual Web site tend to develop "ad blindness". Meaning no matter how much traffic comes into your site, chances are no one will click the ads because they'll be ignoring them. If no one clicks, you make nothing.

Dealing with Competitors If you offer products or services on you Web site, the first thing you'll notice when you begin hosting PPC ads is that many of the ads are coming from your competitors. Therefore, you'll want to put ads on pages that aren't earning you any money, or do like I did and not put ads on your site until you're so busy anyway you'd rather make a few dollars off of your competitors than to continue turning business away with nothing to show for it. Google AdSense allows you to specify up to 200 URLs for sites you want to bar from placing ads on your pages. The problem is that most times you won't know the competitors are out there until their ads appear.

Google Money Making Ad Options Google offers three ways to make money from them: Google AdSense for Content - A variety of size and shape ads for placing in your content are available. These can be text or image ads or both - you specify what you'll allow. Ad units are full ads. Link units are simply a strip of text links that your visitors might want to click. Google allows you to put up to 3 Ad Units and 1 Link unit on each page of your Web site, provided you follow its policies - both for AdSense and for Webmasters. Google AdSense for Search - This places a search box on your Web site. When a user enters a term and conducts a search, a search results page opens, that hosts more pay-per-click ads. You can customize the color scheme of the search results page to harmonize with your web site. Google Referrals - Here you make money by referring visitors to use a Google product, like AdSense, AdWords, the Google Toolbar and other Google software. Just like Google AdSense for Content and AdSense for Search, Google generates the code that you paste into the desired location on your web page. You can choose from a wide variety of buttons and text links of different colors. As an example of how Google Referrals works, if someone goes to your site and clicks the link and signs up for an AdSense account, when that person earns a $100 from Google AdSense and receives a payout from Google, you'll also receive $100 for referring them. This is a great idea to me, because you can be the world's worst Google AdSense advertiser, but if an ad dynamo happens to visit your site and uses your referral link, you can make money anyway!

Google AdSense Payments

Google will not issue an AdSense payment until your earnings exceed $100. Unfortunately, there are loads of Google AdSense Forum entries about Web site operators who accumulated $90 or more in click through earnings only to get banned from Google and not get paid anything at all before they ever reached $100. This may be because Google doesn't take a close look to see if you're complying with their guidelines until it comes time to pay you. So yes, there's a lot more to the story than meets the eye.

First And Most Important Lesson To Learn google adsense

If you are just starting online with your first website, you have quite a learning curve in front of you I know that your learning curve is still long, because I have been making money online for years, and I am still learning new stuff everyday If you are just starting online with your first website, you have quite a learning curve in front of you. I know that your learning curve is still long, because I have been making money online for years, and I am still learning new stuff everyday.

Every year, more people are coming online. And every year, people struggle to figure out how to tap into the economic engine powered by the Internet. The one thing that newcomers to the Internet frequently fail to realize is that those of us, who are making the most money online, spent years learning our trades.

The good news is that Internet newcomers have one major advantage that my mentors and myself did not have when we started our online enterprises. The newcomers have people like us who are willing to teach others what they have learned.

There are three kinds of commercial websites on the Internet: product/service merchants, advertising providers, and non-profit websites.

Now, the Red Cross and the United Way are non-profit websites by choice and mission. But, the majority of non-profit websites on the Internet were designed to be for-profit websites, but the website owner will have been lucky to have earned enough to pay their web hosting costs.

By the end of this article, I hope that I will have provided you enough information to be able to turn any non-profit website into a profit generating machine.

Merchants sell services. They also sell products made by others or themselves. Some merchants produce their own informational books and e-books, on a wide variety of topics.

Many people make the mistake of assuming that they do not know anything of value that other people would want to know. But, that just isn't true. Call me an optimist if you will, but I believe everyone knows something that other people would be willing to pay a certain amount of money to learn.

Ii is a fact that some of the smartest online entrepreneurs I know make a lot of money by writing and selling books and e-books, on topics ranging from cryptograms How-to cure acid reflux. To finding the hero within. To how to be more successful with an online business.

I have bought many e-books and I have to say that some were better than others, but all of them helped me to learn what I needed to know in order to be successful with whatever endeavor I was undertaking.

Advertising Providers build websites with the intent of attracting a huge and loyal audience, so that advertisers will consider their website to be a good place to spend their advertising dollars.

In those dark days before Google Adsense and Yahoo's Publisher Network we little guys were just tough out-of-luck if we wanted to sell our advertising space through a larger network of advertisers.

I remember having a website that was finally serving one thousand unique page views per day, or 30,000 page views per month. I remember thinking that it was time for me to see whom I could sell advertising space. So, I started doing my research.

I looked at one advertising network, and then another, and another. Without fail, most advertising networks required one million page views per month in order for a website to participate in their network. I was just poop out of luck.

So, I started advertising space on my site to my visitors. I sold some advertising, but I did not make a living doing it. The main issue here is that the people on my site are looking to learn about travel and other things, and advertisers generally spend their time on sites learning about doing business online.

Then in 2003, it all changed with the rollout of Google Adsense. Suddenly, all I needed to do was to apply to participate in Google's program. On approval, I could add one little piece of JavaScript code to my website, and I could start earning money from Google immediately, by making their client's advertising available on my own website.

Finally, my information website had a method for earning money that did not require for me to spend all of my waking hours chasing one sale after another.

Some Background

When I started my first online business, I had set up an Yahoo store. I did very well with it, but after a couple years, I realized that I did not want to keep doing the same thing for the rest of my life.

Three rooms of my home were committed to storing merchandise that I was buying for resale. When I made a product purchase, I had to take photos and then sit down to my computer, upload the image and make an appropriate product description. Then I had to spend all of my spare time, making new listings at Yahoo and running to the post office to ship the merchandise I had sold.

One day I realized that the reason I had started my business is to provide my family a better standard of living. I had accomplished that goal, at the cost of time with my family. I was literally working from the moment I got out of bed, until I collapsed into my bed at the end of the day.

After parting ways with Yahoo, I researched other profit models and settled on a membership site. In order to be successful with a membership website, one must be willing and able to add new good quality content to the website at least three or four times per week. That is a job in itself.

While my membership site did well monetarily, I found myself in a position similar to when I had my Yahoo store. I was spending all of my spare time with my business and not my family.

Finally, I Wrapped My Head Around The Solution

What I needed for myself was a website where I could sell other people's products and services, then let the other person handle the entire process of collecting the money and delivering the product or service. I needed to build my business in such a way that I could build my website, when I wanted to invest the time, and I could collect my checks at the end of the month.

The advertising website is the best kind of site to have when your goals are the same as mine.

So, I embarked on building a website that had information on a wide variety of topics.

Three years after I started my current website, Google launched their Adsense program. I applied to Google's Adsense program and was accepted within just a few days. I then applied my Google Adsense code to my website.

Over the years, I have been building links to my website so that people could find me. The articles and directory links have produced good traffic results for me on a consistent basis, since I started the process of building them.

The Next Lesson Can Literally Double And Triple Your Income

When you undertake to design a website that will host advertising, don't be shy about it!

? Don't stick your advertising in a corner somewhere; ? Don't design your advertising to look like something other than an advertisement; ? Don't be afraid to test your advertising placement; ? Don't be afraid to tell people that they can buy advertising on your website; ? Don't be afraid to charge good money to advertisers to have a placement on your website.

Don't be afraid and don't be shy. Your reason for putting advertising on your website is to give YOU a way to make money from your work. But, in order to keep your advertisers happy, you need to make sure that they get a good return for their investment.

When you can help your advertisers make money, then you will by extension earn money from your website. It is a beautiful concept; when I help put money in my advertiser's pockets, they put money in my pocket.

Specific Tips To Maximize Your Advertising Click-Through Rates (CTRs)

The default link color on the Internet is blue; so make the links in your advertising blue.

The default text color on the Internet is black; so make the text in your advertisement black or whatever color is the default text color on your website.

Make your advertisement block stand out from the rest of the content on the page. Putting your ads directly in your visitor's face is good. Within a text block, I have found the 300x250 to be the most effective ad block size. To see an example of the 300x250 text block in action,

Other ad block sizes that we have seen good results include: the 728x90 leaderboard, 468x60 banner, and the160x600 wide skyscraper.

Be The Next Advertising Success Story

I advised a friend of mine to make these kinds of changes on his own website. He already had great traffic, but he was not making as much money as I thought he should be making.

On my suggestion, he changed his Google ads from the bottom of his left sidebar to the main part of his pages. He told me that his CTR increased from 0.8% to 2.4%. I told him to change his ads from the 468x15 link unit to the 468x60 banner ad. He told me that his CTR increased from 2.4% to 4.7%. Then I told him to change his links from black to blue. Within just a few weeks, he reported back to me that his click-through rates jumped again, this time from 4.7% to 7.8%. He even reported that on some individual days, his new layout generated as high as 11.4% CTRs.

On my friend's website, his CTR jumped from 0.8% where it had been for a couple years, since he started using Google Adsense, to 7.8% on average. While most webmasters will see an average increase of two- to three-times, my friend has experienced a nearly tenfold (+9.75%) increase in his advertising revenue through that website.

What could you do with ten times more advertising revenue from your website? You will never know until you implement these kinds of changes on your website to increase your own advertising revenue.

Useful Tips to Make Money via Paid to Click (PTC) Websites

First of all, if you are new to Paid to Click (PTC) sites, it is advisable for you to
find out the review of a site before joining as member. This is to ensure you of not wasting your precious time to click on sites which are not going to pay you for your effort. There are lots of scam sites which imitate the name of the more reputable sites. For example, Bux To is the most famous and reputable PTC site which really pays you. Due to this reason, more and more PTC sites with almost the same name as Bux To appear on the web. One of the easiest ways to find out whether a site is genuine is through the social forums or even blogs. You can easily find a related forum or blog through the search engine by typing the name of the PTC site and following by the words "scam sites". Then, you are able to see some comments for other users on the verification of such a site, some of them will show you the payment proof of the real PTC sites to the members.

After identifying the genuine PTC sites, the second step is to sign up to become free member, normally is known as Standard Member. Don't pay to be upgraded to premium member unless you trust the relevant site very much after receiving few payments from the site. The fact is, you can hardly make money just by joining 1 PTC site. Normally most of the PTC members will take part in more than 5 PTC sites. Since you are going to check your PTC account from time to time, it is advisable you can ‘bookmark’ your frequently-visit PTC sites. Then set every of your joined PTC site with the same username and password, so that you don’t have problem of remembering different usernames and passwords.

You can hardly make money if you are clicking advertisements alone. Normally you will be paid 0.01cent per click for an advertisement. Averagely, there will be about 10 advertisements per day for you to click. So 1 day you can make only 0.1 cent. One month will only be 3 dollars. So what you need to do next is to get referrals to ‘click’ together with you. Internet is a wonderful platform as it has a large pool of users worldwide which can potentially become your referrals to increase your PTC earnings.

Below is a simple calculation on how much you can probably earn on PTC sites if you are serious enough. Let's say we get a total of 100 referrals. From the 100 referrals,

a) 25 referrals = inactive b) 25 referrals = very active (click on advertisements everyday) c) 25 referrals = semi-active (click on advertisements 4 days per week)

d) 25 referrals = a little bit active (click on advertisements once a week)

From the assumption above, the estimated total earnings per month = a(25 x $0) + b[25 x (0.1x28days)] + c[25 x (0.1 x 16 days)] + d[25 x (0.1 x 4days)] = $0 + $70 + $40 + $10 = $120

If you are participating in 10 PTC sites, so your earnings per month will become $1200!!! Don't you think it sounds great?

Please be careful of some scam sites out there which promise to pay you $1 per click. All these are nonsense. No PTC site can survive by paying you $1 per click unless they charge their advertisers at a very expensive rate. But I believe no one will pay them for advertising fee which is far above the market rate.

The next question is how are you going to get referrals to "click" together with you in this PTC programme? Creating own blog (using tool like Blogger) to promote is one of the effective ways to lead potential members to sign up. Once you have joined as a member in a PTC site, you will be provided a referral's URL link which you can paste it on your own blog to create a link to the relevant PTC sites. If someone has clicked on the link in your blog and then is led to the PTC site, then automatically you will become the referral of that ‘clicker’. If he or she does the same as you by clicking the advertisements and at the same time creating his or her own blog or website to promote, then you will subsequently get more and more people to 'click' together with you to double, triple up your income or even more.

Most PTC sites will provide service like purchasing referrals. But it is not advisable to purchase referrals. But sometimes you may consider reinvesting a little sum earned from sites by purchasing referrals from them if you really think it worth to do so after proper calculation. I believe you may not want to lose money in an effort to earn some.

NOW, are you ready to join? if YES click HERE

JOIN NOW OR NEVER!!!

Have started to earn? join bux.to? join now and i guarantee you will get ads at least 15 each day.
At Bux.to, you get paid to click on ads and visit websites. There are a lot of people earning extra cash and even making a living blogging, and you can too. First, you need to come up with a topic people are interested it. The topic has to be one you know a lot about or enjoy. To become a successful blogger, you must provide useful content and update the blog regularly. You can either start your own blog, join a blog community or join a blog network.

Your Own Blog
If you want to start your own blog, there are many places to host your blog for free such as blogger.com. You can also buy your own domain from sites like godaddy.com and pay for hosting. I use hostgator.com and can highly recommend them. After setting up your blog, you can monetize traffic through Adsense, an advertising program by Google or other affiliate programs such as maxbounty or primaryads. You can also earn money by discussing advertiser products and services within blog posts through sites like payperpost.com, bloggingads.com and blogitive.com. To send traffic to your blog, you should submit it to directories, post on other people's blogs, post on forums with your blog address in the signature, and exchange links with similar sites.

Blog Communities
The advantage of joining blog communities is that you can start getting traffic right away. Members of the blog communities will visit your blog if it appeals to them. You will be able to make money through Adsense. Your ads will be rotated 50% or more of the time while the owner's Adsense ads rotate the other half or less. Some blog communities include blogfeast.com, bloggerparty.com, and blogcharm.com.

Blog Networks
There are many advantages of joining a blog network. The blog network pays for your domain name and hosting. They setup/design the blog for you. You don't have to work for traffic and are usually paid a specific amount each month. You can also earn a percentage of advertising revenue each month. You mainly have to focus on posting great content.

Blog Networks Currently Hiring
If you join a blog network, you'll be able to earn a specific amount each month or a percentage of revenue generated from the blog. The following are blog networks currently hiring:
1. Weblogs, Inc. is a large network with about 90 blogs. You may apply to blog on a pre-existing blog or suggest a topic for a new blog. The first blogs were almost exclusively used as personal online journals, documenting the author's opinion on various issues i.e. politics, hobbies, etc. and life in general, though many webmasters are now using blogs to generate targeted traffic to their website, and attract potential customers. Some are even used in conjunction with advertisement programs such as Google Adsense, making the blog itself profitable.

Search engines recognize blogs as valuable websites, providing regularly updated, original content. Because of these factors, good blogs usually enjoy a higher ranking than other sites with static content.

Fortunately, obtaining a blog is very simple: anyone can do it. There are many blog-publishing sites to choose from, the two major ones being Wordpress and Blogger. It is worth noting that Google now owns Blogger, and therefore its pages are indexed very quickly.

Creating and a search engine-friendly blog is very easy. When it comes to SEO, blogs are very similar to normal web pages. You must choose an interesting title that engages your blog's visitors. It should also contain some of your strongest keywords. Another good idea is using heading tags, and including keywords in them as the search engine spiders will recognize these tags and assign a higher importance to the text between them; (the same rule applies to bold text, and links).
Remember also to submit to directories, and ask for links from sites that have a similar theme as your blog to increase your backlinks. Also submit to social bookmarking sites to increase your traffic.

Now you have optimised your blog structure, you must blog frequently. The posts need not be very long, but it is very important that the blog is updated regularly with relevant information. The search engine spiders will crawl your blog more if the content is changed often, and all of this will result in a higher page rank on search engines. You should keep archives of all your blogging activity, as someone searching for a topic mentioned in one of your posts may "stumble" across your blog.

Try to keep your blog interesting, maximising the number of posts will not always have a positive effect if these posts are superfluous. A well-written blog will make your visitors want to come back again will build a familiarity between you and your potential clients. What's more, the hits these return visitors create will improve your page rank, attracting even more visitors to your blog. Try to maintain a good keyword density, without repeating yourself too much, as this will all help to be ranked higher in search engines.

Then, all you have to do is link your blog to your site, and you should get lots of organic traffic.

Good for You, Bad for Others

A recent debate started me thinking about how some marketing strategies can be right for one Web site, but wrong for another depending on the owner's purpose and the underlying reasoning behind the action.

If an action doesn't directly and logically plug into site goals, then there are likely more profitable ways to spend that time and effort.

Publishing third-party articles on a Web site is one of those marketing strategies that can be right for one site, yet wrong for another.

Publishing Guest Articles as a Strategy

Publishing guest articles as one of your Web site marketing strategies can help broaden the amount and quality of content on a site, which in turn can lead to a more solid, stronger reputation. James Edwards of Umbrella-Consultancy, http://www.umbrella-consultancy.co.uk, explains:

\"IMO having quality articles on your site will show that you are...someone who embraces the industry and respects the work of others. Most research scientists post links to other respected scientists work. I think it can only be good to have quality material by other people in your field posted on your site.\"

Helping Web Site Visitors

Another situation where adding others articles to your site can make strategic sense is when a lot of visitors arrive looking for a solution other than the one you provide on your site. Rather than have them wander off, no closer to an answer to their problem, you can build goodwill and credibility by having articles on the Web site that give them more information.

For example, several types of people arrive at my site through the search engines:

- Some are people researching marketing consulting services.

- Some are students looking to write a paper or finish an assigned project for school.

- Some are looking for marketing software.

- Others are looking to buy printed material (e-books, templates, workbooks, etc.) in order to proceed, step-by-step, on their own.

- some are looking for software, porn, date.
The only ones that are going to be interested in what I have to sell are those in the last group. Instead of letting the majority of visitors go without a fight, I have articles on the site from handpicked individuals or companies.

Those articles are chosen according to how good the quality is, how well the subject matter fits, and whether I think the information will help site visitors.

Information Sites

If a site (or section of a site) is informational in nature, guest articles can be a viable Web site marketing strategy, for several reasons:

- Repeat, purchase-related visits. A good information library can help potential customers through the decision-making process. If they find the information on your site especially helpful, they will be predisposed to coming back later, when they are ready to purchase.

- Increased Web site revenue. Publishing others work can generate more revenue for your own site. For example, when I publish a third-party article, elsewhere on the page I include one or more of the following: AdSense; an advertisement for my own products; a newsletter sign-up box; or a relevant affiliate link. That way, every path off the page satisfies one of my own goals (direct ad revenue, new newsletter subscriber, or product sales lead).

- Increased targeted traffic. Each new page of quality content has the potential to bring in a happy chunk of incremental traffic from the search engines.

- Future collaborations or other projects. An indirect benefit from publishing others articles is contact and future collaboration with authors. For example, after one author received several new sign-ups to her newsletter through an article published on my site, she contacted me about collaborating on an audio product.

Poor Fit With Marketing Strategies

For some business models, including guest articles in a list of Web site marketing strategies does not make sense. For example, it can be counterproductive to include guest articles on Web sites where the primary goal is to sell.

Service Web Sites

If the goal is to generate direct sales and leads for your own services, it doesn't make sense to dilute the message and call to action with diversions. Karon Thackston explains:

\"The purpose of my site is to get those in need of copywriting services and SEO copywriting services to contact me in order to do business. People who come to my Marketing Words site, http://www.marketingwords.com, are looking for information about copywriting. They are also looking to hire a copywriter.\"

Therefore, you will find only material written by Karon on her site.

Product Sales Sites

Some sites have a single goal: to sell product. Every page on the site is devoted to product descriptions or copy designed to move a visitor toward a purchase. In these cases, where the predominant call to action is \"buy the product,\" articles could hurt sales by diverting visitor attention away from the products.

Visit your favorite online retail sites, and you are likely to find product descriptions, reviews, photos and other product-driven content - but little or no guest articles. Their absence on many e-commerce sites is an illustration of the poor fit of such articles as a marketing strategy for those sites.

Understanding how different techniques support, or sabotage, Web site marketing strategies can be critical to a site's success. Align your strategies with overall goals, and your business is more likely to flourish.

-----------------------------------------

Bobette Kyle draws upon 10+ years of Marketing/Executive experience, Marketing MBA, and online marketing research in her writing. But even online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates.

Affiliate marketing, simply said, is a relationship or agreement made between two websites, with one site being the merchant website and the other being the affiliate’s site. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliates site. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into. This would generally mean easy income for the affiliate, as he would do nothing but place the retailer ad on his site. This would also be very beneficial for the merchant, as getting affiliates to advertise their products would be a lot more affordable than hiring an advertising firm to promote their products.

There are a variety of methods on how the merchant would compensate the affiliate for his services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply translates to the method by which he would earn easy cash. Among the more common methods of compensation are the pay-per-click method, the pay-per-lead method, and the pay-per-sale method. The pay-per-click method is the method most preferred by affiliates, for their site visitor would only have to visit the advertiser site for them to gain money. The other two methods, on the other hand, are better preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor would actually buy their products.

Getting much profit on affiliate marketing programs, however, does not depend so much on the compensation method is it does on the traffic generated by your site. A website that can attract more visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs.

What about Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is actually some sort of an affiliate marketing program. In Google Adsense, Google act as the intermediary between the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would simply sign up with Google and provide the latter with text ads pertaining to their products. These ads, which is actually a link to the advertiser website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the Google Adsense program.

While one can find a lot of similarities between Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs, you can also see a lot of differences. In Google Adsense, all the webmaster has to do is place a code on his website and Google takes care of the rest. The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be advantageous both for you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being advertised.

The Google Adsense program compensates the affiliate in a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers would pay Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google would then forward this amount to you through checks, although only after Google have deducted their share of the amount. Google Adsense checks are usually delivered monthly. Also, the Google Adsense program provides webmasters with a tracking tool that allows you to monitor the earnings you actually get from a certain ad.

So, where do all of these lead us to?

Where else but to profits, profits and even more profits! Affiliate marketing programs and the Google Adsense program simply work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites. And if you combine all your profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash.

http://www.reprintarticlesite.com
http://www.youradsenseprofits.com

Try these 7 Top Ways to Make Money Online

Are you ready to make money online? The most popular ways for bloggers to earn some added cash for their pet projects are:

1. ) Google Adsense in BlogsGoogle AdSense allows webmasters to dynamically serve content-relevant advertisements in blogs. If the visitor clicks one of the AdSense ads served to the blog, the website owner is credited for the referral. Webmasters need only to insert a Google-generated java script into the blog or blog template. Google's spider parses the AdServing blog and serves ads that relate to the blog's content. Google uses a combination of keyword matching and context analysis to determine what ads should be served.

2. ) Affiliate Programs (Product Endorsements)Affiliate Programs work when an affiliate web site receives income for generating sales, leads, or traffic to a merchant website. Generally, bloggers will mention or endorse specific products and if site visitors purchase the product, bloggers will receive a portion of the sale.

3. ) Product Promotion Businesses use blogs to detail how specific features or product add-ons can increase functionality and save time. If the visitor clicks one of the AdSense ads served to the website, the website owner is credited for the referral. Google\'s AdSense program essentially allows approved websites to dynamically serve Google\'s pay-per-click AdWord results.

Website maintenance related to AdSense is very easy and requires very little effort. Webmasters need only to insert a Google generated java script into the web page or website template. Google\'s spider parses the AdServing website and serves ads that relate to the website\'s content. Google uses a combination of keyword matching and context analysis to determine what ads should be served. The java script calls the ad from Google and will ensure that ads are served each time a visitor goes to the web page.

Early on Google implemented a filtering system that allowed webmasters to prevent a specific domain\'s ads from being served on any websites in their account. Ad blocking meant that webmasters could prevent their competitor\'s ads from being dynamically served on their websites.

Google provides a wide variety of ad formats to match the most suitable option with a website. Webmasters can select from a handful of preformatted towers, inline rectangles, banners and buttons. The ad boxes can be modified by webmasters to resemble the website\'s color scheme. Examples of how different the various text boxes and color schemes appear on similarly themed sites can be viewed at:

http://www.ring-tone-software.com (scroll to the bottom) http://www.ringtones-central.com (scroll to the bottom)

or

http://www.police-central.com (download left side) http://www.police-supplies.com (scroll to the bottom)

Ads can be geo-targeted based on the visitor\'s location. Advertisements containing content in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Japanese, or Spanish are all available.

ChannelsGoogle recently introduced channels, enhancing AdSense reporting. When a channel is selected Google modifies the java script to include additional tracking. The additional tracking information allows webmasters to track a variety of metrics across their sites. Channels can be used to measure performance on various domains, differences in revenue with various ad sizes, or placement. By assigning each group of pages to a specific channel and comparing results in custom channel reports webmasters can work at increasing their AdSense revenue.

Optimizing Google determines the content of the ads that are shown, webmasters serious about earning revenue from Google AdSense can use the following guidelines to optimize their website and ensure that targeted and relevant ads are served. If Google\'s spider has not crawled the site and determined the nature of the content, public service ads may be served. Public service ads will not accrue any AdSense revenue if clicked. As a result Google allows webmasters to designate alternate ads. Alternate ads allow webmasters to utilize the ad space in the event that Google is unable to serve targeted ads to the web page. By specifying an alternate image, HTML page, or ad server the advertising space can always being used effectively.

1.) However, many people fail with affiliate programs and most of them fail for the same reason.
This is nothing to do with lack of affiliate program information, it is because they do not start out the right way to succeed with the affiliate program they choose to promote.

With an affiliate program, there are several simple but important steps you will need to take in order to make a success of your business and earn the money you want. Following the simple steps listed below will enable you to make dramatic progress so you can start to earn money from your affiliate program at an early stage.

1. Look for an affiliate program in a niche that interests you. Your business is a long term commitment, if you get involved with an affiliate program in a niche that holds no interest for you, running your business will be less interesting and enjoyable. The internet offers plenty of affiliate program information so you can easily find the best niche to suit your interests, there is no need to rush into the first affiliate program you see. Make a short list of possible niches and then go on to looking at the affiliate programs from the financial perspective.

2. Select a lucrative niche from the affiliate program information you have gathered. Don't be tempted to rush the affiliate program research. Your goal is to earn money, and you need to ensure an affiliate program is likely to be profitable before you make a commitment. The internet is full of information about profitable niches, and you will need to research these before you decide on the best business opportunity for you.

3. Another important piece of affiliate program information you will need to research is the reputation of the affiliate program owner. You need to find affiliate programs with good reputations and high quality products or services that will appeal to your customers.

4. Set yourself a goal: decide how much you want to earn from the affiliate program within a set amount of time and write this down. You will need a goal to work towards and writing down your goals is important. As you achieve each goal, you can cross it through and replace it with a more ambitious goal.

5. Create your own website to market your choice of affiliate program. The affiliate program will undoubtedly provide you with your own affiliate web page but creating your own unique website will attract the search engines and having your site listed in the search engines is an important step. Make your website interesting to human visitors by offering some free tools, e-books etc on your site as well as having articles related to your affiliate program.

6. Place advertisements on your website. You can earn money by displaying advertisements on behalf of companies such as Google, Yahoo, Revenue Pilot, Adbrite and numerous others.

7. Start a linking campaign. Links are very important to all online businesses, not just affiliate programs. Information you need to remember is that links from other sites will help improve the ranking of your website. One way links are more important than reciprocal links but reciprocal links are still of value.

8. List your website in major and niche directories, this is time-consuming but free and can be done in stages to reduce the boredom. If you have a reasonable budget for promotion of your affiliate program, you might want to consider buying software to perform this task.

9. Write and distribute articles to article directories. This is a free and highly effective way to market your affiliate program and obtain one way links from other websites.

10. Become an active participant in Internet forums related to affiliate program marketing and to your particular niche subject. Most Internet forums are free to join and allow you to include a link to your affiliate program or personal website as part of your signature.

Elaine Currie enjoys working from home. Starting an Internet home based business is definitely exciting but the experience can also be overwhelming. There are vast numbers of Internet home based business opportunities available and researching just a few likely looking ones, can result in information overload.

You can easily succeed with an Internet home business opportunity if you avoid these five common mistakes when starting out.

So what are some of the most common mistakes that people who are starting a home based business can make?

1. Failing to plan and set themselves goals.

Starting an Internet home based business without making a business plan which includes budgets is the first step towards disaster. Having step by step goals and a plan of how much is to be spent at each stage is vitally important. It is essential to know what you want to achieve from your business and how much you intend to spend on start up and ongoing promotion.

2. Failing To Follow A Proven Business Model

There is no need to act like a pioneer in the Wild West when you are starting your home based business. There are any number of examples of proven money making business models on the Internet. Duplication will enable you to succeed with your Internet home based business: find someone who is in the position you want to achieve and duplicate what they did to succeed. If you join a turnkey Internet home based business opportunity, you will have access to training material which will show you exactly what steps you need to take to achieve success in your home business.

3. Falling for a get rich quick scheme

Don't think starting an Internet home based business means you will get rich overnight. This type of unrealistic expectation is one of the biggest reasons people give up soon after starting a home based business. Getting any business into profit mode will take a certain amount of time, and an Internet home based business is certainly no exception.

4. Falling For The "Free" Myth

If you believe you can have a successful Internet home based business without making any financial investment, you are heading for a grave disappointment. There are many valuable free resources available online but expecting to start and develop a serious Internet business with out any outlay is simply not realistic.

5. Giving Up Too Easily

Your two best friends when first starting an Internet home based business will be patience and persistence. Actually, come to think of it, those two will remain your best friends all the way to reaching profit mode and beyond. Becoming successful with an Internet home based business will take time and you must be prepared to exercise patience while you are working towards your goals. You also need to use persisence when working at promoting your business because there are bound to be tasks that seem boring to you.

If you avoid these five common mistakes, you can find success with your home based business.

Elaine Currie works from home. there are 5 steps when you ask how 2 get money from my internet?
it's about planning!!! Many people getting into affiliate marketing are thinking about making a fast buck. It is hard to fault them. Since the formation of CDNow almost thirteen years ago, affiliate marketing has exploded into a billion dollar per year industry. There are also the benefits including little to no overhead, residual income, getting paid for the work of your downline and not having to deal with any customer service problems.

But it is still a business and many people do not understand that a business requires planning. No matter how great the product or service, if you do not have any guidelines mapped out beforehand then you will probably wind up like ninety five percent of affiliate (and internet) marketers who do not make any money online.

Affiliate internet marketing is a lot of work, time, patience, mistakes, uncertainty and constant learning. The key is to create a plan and work it.

Where does it start?

1. Your Office.

Whether working out of your garage, kitchen or bathroom (hey sometimes you do what you got to do), make sure your office is comfortable with proper lighting, ventilation and as little distraction as possible. It is hard to get any work done with the phone ringing every 15 minutes. If you have to, let the answering machine pick up. Set aside blocks of time where you concentrate on nothing but your affiliate marketing

2. Learn and Keep Learning.

Study the affiliate marketers who are making money. Visit affiliate marketing forums. While your overall goal is to become successful, you may from time to time have to change your strategies. Forums are a great place to get tips and ideas that you can adapt to your business. Also, many affiliate programs now offer conference rooms. This allows you to live chat with the product creators, as well as other affiliate marketers participating in the program.

Some conferences are just cheerleading sessions. They get you fired up to sell the product but do not give you any concrete ways to sell it. However, many merchants do provide solid support, answer any and all questions in real time and recommend affiliate marketing strategies to help you. If your merchant is scheduling conferences on a regular basis, take advantage of it.

3. Research Your Target Market.

It is not enough just to know what is going on with your product or service. What are the new trends? Watch television. Read newspapers and magazines. Find out where the hot markets are popping up and how it affects your business. Do not just read affiliate news. Get as much information as possible on what is happening around the world and then apply it to your affiliate business.

4. Your own website.

This is the command center for your affiliate marketing campaign. Yes you can promote different programs without one but this makes it more difficult and less profitable for you. Having your own website means you can capture the visitor information before you send them to the merchant. If they do not like the particular product you are selling at this time, you can always contact them about other offers or promotions later. The beauty is once you get their name and e-mail, you can contact them for as long as they remain on your opt in list. This is called backend and you can believe it is how many of the top affiliate marketers make their money. The money is in the list and the only way to do that is get your own website where people can sign up.

5. Do not kid yourself.

We all want to be millionaires by the time the sun goes down or at least by early the next morning but that is not reality. Affiliate marketing is hard work so set a goal that you can achieve. How much realistic profit can you generate in a month? Start small. If you earned five hundred dollars last month, shoot for seventy hundred fifty next month. They may seem like baby steps but they can stop you from getting any false expectations which lead to discouragement and finally giving up all together. It may take awhile before you actually see any money so hang in there.

According to the AffStat 2007 report over eighty percent of affiliate programs offer revenue sharing. If you plan and treat your affiliate internet marketing like a business, then there is no reason why you cannot share in the profits.

Daryl Campbell is an affiliate marketer and online business owner. These ways might be work for you first....

Selling a product
The Internet is a wonderfully large and diverse place. By selling a product or service on it, you will instantly become exposed to millions and millions of potential customers. Some products and service are better suited for an online business than others. If you decide to sell a physical product that does not ship easily like certain foods, pets, ice sculptures etc, you are unlikely to make much money on the Internet. Some products are however very well suited. Products which exist only in the electronic realm like digital pictures, software, eBooks, electronic airplane tickets, music etc are ideal for the Internet as they can be shipped to anyone who has an Internet connection. Also, such products can be shipped automatically without human intervention. When deciding to sell a product online, you need to consider if the product you are offering is really ideal for selling online. Whatever products or service you decide for, you need to make a business plan, check out your competition, look into legal matters like taxation and return policies etc.

Advertising online
Many websites rely on advertising as their only source of income. Ads come in many types and shapes and common for them is that they normally generate revenue when a visitor to the website clicks on an ad. In some cases, (a small amount of) revenue is also generated per viewing or a thousand viewings of the ad by a visitor. The revenue generated per click on ads is normally relatively low. Typically starting at a few cents, but up to even a few dollars for the right type of ads. Currently many website administrators rely on ads being provided by Google through Google's AdSense program. These are the types of ads shown next to the legend "Ads by Google". Google generates revenue for each click, and share this revenue with the website administrator. Ads are placed on webpages by contextual matching of the content of the webpage with the ads. Google reads the content of the webpage and provides ads which match this content. This means, that if the content of a webpage is such that advertisers are willing to pay a lot of money for the ads, Google will generate good revenue. And since Google's revenue is shared with the owner of the website, the owner of the website can thus make good money on content of the right kind. Determining which content is high paying is an art in itself. Currently, good revenue seems to come from travel services, various gadgets, recruitment and much more.

As the revenue generated from advertising is relatively low and since relatively few visitors on a webpage click on ads, a large amount of visitors are needed to generate high revenue. With that, a lot of money can be made online this way.

Affiliate programs
Affiliate programs are a type of partnership between a seller of a product or service and an advertiser. The advertiser, who is said to be an affiliate of the seller - sends visitors to the seller's website. For this the seller shares the revenue generated from sales originating from the affiliate with the affiliate. A seller typically has a large amount of affiliates. The percentage of the revenue given to the affiliate can be anywhere from a few percent up to as much as 75 percent. The benefit for the seller is that he or she needs to worry mostly about providing a good product or service and less about marketing since this is done by affiliates. The benefit for the affiliate is that he or she can make money online without having his or her own product to sell. Some affiliates have their own website, whilst others simply make money by placing ads on other websites, thereby directing visitors to the website of their choice. To make money as an affiliate, you'll need to attract a lot of visitors.

In this article we have touched on the subject of making money online. We have described the options for selling a product and service, advertising and affiliate programs.

I wish you good luck.
author : Andrew Nielsen ; written by frost
